Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of Corporate Maintenance & Reliability Specialist will be a part of the Plant Engineering Global Excellence group in delivering world class asset management practices in nearly 220 plants globally. This role directly supports the site Maintenance & Reliability resources in their efforts towards applying maintenance strategies and predictive technologies in optimizing our asset performance. As a key leader in our reliability efforts, you will have ownership to outline corporate programs that drive an analytical approach in the prediction, prevention, and reduction of equipment failures.

The incumbent will demonstrate a progressive thought process that advances our Plant Engineering work management practices, including proper taxonomy structure, failure/cause coding and work analysis.

As a corporate resource and subject matter expert, this position will exercise considerable independent judgment in shaping a broad strategic vision, employ exceptional analytical skills, and communicate clearly and effectively. The ideal candidate is well organized, a problem solver and can manage multiple large-scale initiatives with measurable results. Leveraging a diverse operational background, he/she can effectively influence operational and technical leaders across the organization without the benefit of a formal direct reporting relationship.

Primary Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to the following:

• Support the deployment and execution of site level reliability excellence/maintenance programs and processes to effectively increase machine/facility system reliability and compliance
• Utilize Reliability Engineering tools & methods such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), RCFA, PM Plan optimizations and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
• Ensure that the appropriate Maintenance and Reliability metrics are in place throughout the site (asset utilization (OEE), planned/unplanned work, planning/scheduling metrics, cost metrics, MTBF, replacement asset value, etc.
• Develop site level engineer and technician capabilities regarding the use and application of all necessary PdM technologies and assist in its deployment.
• Serve as the equipment reliability Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the business and lead reliability improvement teams
• Engage in reliability networks to share best practices, utilize current technologies and build our reliability body of knowledge

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline from an accredited university

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing reliability role
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
• Electrical Engineering Degree with emphasis on Process Instrumentation & Control Solutions
• Professional reliability credentials such as: Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT), and/or Certified Reliability Leader (CRL)
• Good communication skills, both written and oral, delivering technical information to a diverse audience
• Ability to champion corporate initiatives and influence business partners
• Experience with reliability analysis, predictive (PdM), and preventative maintenance (PM)
• High level of understanding and ability to use analytical tools and troubleshooting

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic and international
