Olin Chlor Alkali Products has an opening for a Maintenance Coordinator at the Tracy, California location. This role will ensure environmental compliance and ORC initiatives within areas of responsibility and perform hands-on maintenance activities while maintaining adequate housekeeping at all times in work areas. Must be knowledgeable and compliant of all plant procedures, codes and standards, including RC 14001. This role also oversees and directs maintenance excellence initiatives and activities performed by plant personnel or contractors.

The Maintenance Coordinator will perform all types of corrective maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance work, and will work closely with operations to monitor equipment conditions, work backlog, and to plan and schedule maintenance work. This position will also install new equipment in compliance with all applicable codes and standards and is responsible for maintenance reporting requirements (i.e. equipment and work order history, cost information, schedules, expense reports, job observations, requisitions). The employee will also monitor at risk equipment to ensure high reliability and strive to improve equipment uptime, quality and speed rates while reducing maintenance cost and waste and ensuring the timely reporting of expenditures.

This position will provide leadership and support in the utilization of any computerized maintenance management systems for the plant. Planning maintenance activities, determining material/manpower requirements, requisitions materials and contractors (as required) will also be expected. The Maintenance Coordinator will facilitate and monitor maintenance contractor activities at the site to ensure the best value is provided to Olin.
This role is expected to continually develop personal expertise in maintenance functions to keep abreast of latest technologies and best practices and will work to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and other plant employees. The employee will perform Hazmat and Emergency Response training and refreshers as required and respond to plant needs. The Maintenance Coordinator will support maintenance excellence initiatives as required by the site and division, and assist with training activities as needed. There may be other duties as assigned and may occasionally be required to work off site.

Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years plant industrial maintenance knowledge and experience; preferably in a leadership role; chemical manufacturing environment also preferred.
High school degree or GED required.
Strong people and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across different groups both, verbally and in writing. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
Ability to work self-directed and handle multiple tasks successfully.
Capable of using all PPE, welding, grinding equipment, pneumatic and electric hand tools, mechanics and pipefitters hand tools, forklifts, manual overhead crane, painting equipment, drill press, milling machine and lathe.
Demonstrated experience in driving continuous improvement in the maintenance functions for optimum plant performance.
Proficiency in blueprint reading, labor and material estimating, equipment troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. SAP experience preferred.
Physical requirements will include lifting; visual inspections; frequent reaching, bending, twisting, standing, and walking; and the regular use of pneumatic and electric tools, hand tools, grinding equipment, and pipefitting tools in the performance of the daily assigned job tasks.
