Assistant General Manager, Maintenance (Phoenix, AZ)

Job Description: Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager, Maintenance oversees the operations of the Maintenance Department and provides leadership to over 230 employees in the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and programs to ensure that CAP's mission is accomplished. This key position plans, develops and directs the major maintenance support functions required to assure system and component maintenance for the CAP system as well as the implementation of standardized preventive and predictive maintenance procedures to increase the reliability of CAP water delivery systems while improving cost efficiencies.

Qualifications

® Fifteen years of experience in a water and power utility or public agency or similar experience in a water construction and engineering firm with at least eight years of progressively responsible management experience.

® Bachelor's degree in related field. Graduate degree or similar academic achievement is preferred.

® Knowledge of theories, principles and practices of modern maintenance methods including Maintenance Excellence (ME).
